Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is derived from two Japanese words –
Rei, which means “the wisdom of God or the Higher Power” and Ki which means “life force energy”.
Reiki utilises the laying on of hands to allow the healing energy of Reiki to pass through the healer into the person receiving the treatment.A treatment feels like a warm, gentle sunshine which flows through you, surrounds and comforts you.Reiki is powerful, yet wonderfully gentle and nurturing and always creates a healing effect as it cannot be misused. It does not require any particular belief system to work and does not require the removal of clothing for treatment.
Reiki can be used as a treatment in its own right, as often as you wish and can also be used as a support treatment for conventional medical treatment, as it will not interfere with medication or treatments your Doctor recommends.Reiki treats holistically and treats imbalances in the body rather than named diseases.
Reiki is innately understood and much appreciated by all animals, who can all benefit from a treatment, whether they are sick or not.Again, it will not interfere with any veterinary treatment and can be of great benefit to animals undergoing intrusive or stressful treatments and can give a real boost to animals who seem“under the weather”, working dogs, competition dogs, puppies in training and during periods of great change in their lives or in the household.
